Who can use the Memphis Activism Calendar?
  • Anyone can share events or calendars on the MAC, given that they meet the following  criteria:
  • Events must take place within the “Tri-State” area – north Mississippi, southeast Arkansas, west Tennessee.
  • The event or calendar being shared must align with the mission of MAC. This is not a space to spread racism, ableism, homophobia, classism, sexism or fascism.
  • We reserve the right to remove any events that promote hate speech.
 
What type of events should I share?
  • Social justice/activism focused events including meetings, workshops, actions, demonstrations, marches, protests, performances, screenings, exhibitions, etc.
  • Events you want to be public - please note that all information provided will be shared publicly.
 
What types of texts will I get?
  • You will get text messages about responsive, immediate, urgent actions, marches and demonstrations.
  • Texts will be sent out on the morning of an event.
 
Before you post, please make sure you:
  • Are okay having your name and email tied to your event - this information will appear  with your event unless you obscure your identity.
  • Include a sentence in the description on the stated goal(s) of your event and how your event fights oppression.
  • Include a link in the description to link to more information about the event.
  • Make sure your event is not already on the calendar!
